This is a great topic, I use not only social bookmarking but social community sites like MyBlogLog and lately Yahoo Answers to get traffic and make affiliate sales.

One project I’ve been working on it is showing great results. Using one free Social Community site the page my links are on rank No. 7 on Google for a very competitive keyword (over 15,000,000,00 results, that’s 15 million results). I will report this latter.

Now, depending on the bookmarking service he or she chooses, they may have to enter a short description or vote for or against the article. This visitor has just promoted your site for you! He or she has published an active link back to your website from a bookmarking site that is heavily indexed by Google and other major Search Engines.
